Montague Estates

This was the best lot of our recent 15 lot development and possibly the best waterfront lot in Sooke. We built a stunning Osburn Clarke design for some close friends. The job started with the relocation of a 1940's manor house which sat upon the site. It had deep roots and was reluctant to leave but eventually vacated the building site intact. There was an extensive english garden and during the excavation we relocated two 50 year old Rhodos as big as a cabins, removed countless other shrubby, and left bits of the manor house foundation which was worked into the new structure as retaining walls. The house itself was a celebration of board form concrete, Douglas Fir timber and floor to ceiling commercial windows. Polished heated concrete floors, low slope metal roof, built in place closets and book shelves, custom doors, are just some of the modern elements that shine.
