Water's Edge House

Jordan River

Constructed in Jordan River to take advantage of the surf views, we kept this home as high as possible to get main floor views. The home is true "west coast woodsy" with alder doors, reclaimed fir floors, a custom fir entry, cedar shingle siding, and a custom fir table from a log butt retrieved form the local log sort. The house has a hot center piece in the cast wood stove, as well as a slate hearth perfect for drying wetsuits. Slate and fir stairs are complimented by ocean wave inspired trim work. Of special note, the front entry porthole was salvaged from a ship wreck; items such as this, once built into a home, carry a story to share.

Paul did well to get my own personal style to shine through the functionality, the design and the details.
